Another month of good updates from MOPS Africa!
MOPS is all about sharing the hope of Jesus with moms around the world. We celebrate that many moms commit their life to the Christian faith after joining a MOPS group. Here is a mom in Mali who was baptized after joining a group in her town. Mali is a particularly fragile country with a struggling humanitarian crises spurred on by abused of the armed Islamist groups that have control over the country. Christians represent less than 2% of the population here. Please be in prayer for the sweet mamas who are risking a lot to be apart of the faith.
In Tanzania, Imani presented MOPS at a joint meeting of four different regions in Dar es Salaam. We thank Imani for her willingness to continue to spread the ministry and reach moms in her region! May there be good fruit from her efforts to serve the Lord.
MOPS Ghana held an official ceremony initiating all of the leadership team including the new cohort leaders. I was able to speak a word of encouragement at the event, and it was wonderful to see all the great leadership in attendance. There were 144 MOPS women present and ten members of the leadership team celebrated. MOPS Ghana has 43 groups.
Here are some of our other groups represented around the continent:
