October/November Hightlights

"Through Him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of lips that acknowledge His name." Hebrews 13:15

As we celebrate Thanksgiving in the US, it is impossible to write this post without praise to God for all that is happening around Africa. I also have the privilege of serving with the most incredible leaders who give so sacrificially to their communities to reach moms with the love of Jesus - and so to them, I am thankful too!

In October, MomCo Ambassador - Pastor Sammy Kimitios from Kenya was the first representative to visit our moms in South Sudan. The unrest and corruption of this country make it difficult to travel in or out. Not only did he run an impactful three day conference, but Pastor Sammy spoke with several other pastors and churches who were interested in starting a MomCo group, as well.

In November, Nigeria held a successful conference for their MomCo groups near the capital city of Lagos. The leadership team, headed up by sister Chioma, hosted a great day filled with MomCo training, games, and fellowship.

We also had several new countries hold their first MomCo meeting these last few weeks! Let's celebrate:

Sierra Leone, under Isha
Lesotho, under sister Mahlompho
Tunisia, by sister Tiehide
Guinea, by sister Mariama
Mauritania, under sister Aissata
Madagascar, under Joelle
Sierra Leone, under sister Mabinty
Mauritania, under sister Jeannette
Congo, under sister Bellynda

Here are beautiful photos of our MomCo meetups from around the continent of Africa these last two months. As you scroll through, look at the incredible diversity between the groups. No matter whether they meet in a home, under a tree, or in a church, and no matter whether the group is four women or 40 women, these MomCo groups are changing their communities - allowing a place of growth for each woman to be a better mom.
